WHY MEAL PLANS ??

WILL THEY WORK???

It is generally recognised that the best way to start your NEW diet (whether bulking, cutting, or maintenance) is by calculating your requirements and implementing them in the form of meal plans. The advantage of doing this is that you can consume your daily calorie and macronutrient requirements without resorting to ‘MyFitness Pal’ every 5 minutes!! All of this should ring a bell if you’ve read any of my previous blogs about fat loss/muscle gain (click here if you haven’t).

A pet-peeve of mine is when people come up to me and ask ‘Are there any decent meal plans out there??’

Well, the take home message from this blog is to realise and come to terms with the fact that: 

‘THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A ONE-SIZE FITS ALL WHEN IT COMES TO MEAL PLANS.’

Basically, your meal plans should contain the number of calories/macronutrients/etc. that you need for the day. That way, you only need to plan and prepare what you need to eat the following day, be patient, remain consistent, and the rest is pure magic!

In this blog, I’m enclosing a few sample meal plans just to give you a rough idea what daily meal plans actually look like when calorie-intake is the focal objective. 

And please, for the love of God, when you do start to count calories, make sure you don’t neglect your macronutrient requirements!!

THE GREAT NEWS HERE IS THAT ONCE YOU KNOW YOUR CALORIE AND MACRO REQUIREMENTS, YOU’RE SORTED!!!
